Hello! I am Maddy Mercado. Currently, I'm a junior, and this will be my first year in Journalism at Carlmont High School. This past year in Media Arts, has been a lot of fun. I learned a lot from my editors and got to know the teacher as well. I always thought that writing was a hassle whenever it would be about something I wasn't passionate about. Once journalism got introduced to me, I knew I would enjoy writing about my passions and informing others on specific and important matters. In my second semester of Media Arts, I started in Social Media. This helped me use more of my creative side while also promoting  articles that highlight incredible topics that deserve more attention. I'm excited to write more articles on multiple topics and look forward to adding more to my portfolio!
